CDE Research Engineer Ifigeneia Mavridou has just returned from LA where she was lucky enough to have a double submission at IEEE VR 2017.
The first was a project she has been working on in collaboration with Portsmouth University. The article "Altering User Movement Behaviour in Virtual Environments" is available under the "Early Access" area on IEEEXplore appearing in: IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, Volume: 23 Issue: 4 (10.1109/TVCG.2017.265703).
The second submission was a Research Demo. Ifigeneia spent three days during the conference presenting the "FACETEQ Interface Demo for Emotion Expression in VR" in collaboration with Emteq, the host company for Ifigeneia during her EngD. This demo was also recently presented at the 19th ACM VRIC 2017 in Laval, FRANCE (22-24 March).
Ifigeneia said "the conference was an amazing experience for me and I thank the virtual reality community for the valuable feedback and their warm welcome! "
