Thank you to everyone who sent messages, signed the card, contributed to the collection and came to Dan's leaving do.  It really was a great send off.  Some pictures will be available shortly on the CDE Website.

The Festival of Learning will take place at Bournemouth University in 2016.  It will be the festivals fourth year, running from Saturday 25th  – Wednesday 29th June.  More details can be found here along with a video from this year to give you some inspiration.  You can also take a look at the Team CDE activities from 2015 on the CDE website.  We are still looking for a team to host a CDE activity during the Festival of Learning.  Please email Zoe Leonard by Wednesday 27th January.  The deadline for application is 31st January.  This is a great public engagement opportunity and the perfect opportunity to get some extremely valuable feedback on your research.

The CDE Annual Conference – ResJam – REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN and you should have received your email invitation with the link through to the registration page.  Everyone will need to register to attend the event.  If you require accommodation, please register by Wednesday 27th January.

Saturday 23rd January 2016, Bournemouth University plays host to the Digital Citizenship Summit.  It is open to all including students, faculty members, teachers, administrators, parents, tech industry, business leaders and community members.  The focus of the summit is to promote positive and practical solutions towards SAFE, SAVVY and ETHICAL use of social media and tech by children and teens.  Take a look at the website for more information.   Digital Citizenship Summit.

The IEEE VR 2016 conference will be held in Greenville, South Carolina 19 – 23rd March 2016Academics, researchers, industry members and VR enthusiasts can participate in a number of ways, including submitting papers, posters, lab/projects presentations, industrial presentations, panels, workshops, tutorials, research demos, videos or exhibition products.  If you are interested and this is relevant to your area of research, please contact either Zoe Leonard or Laura Simpson.  Remember to seek authorisation from your supervisor first.
