Introducing Brent Kiernan
We are pleased to welcome Brent Kiernan to the Centre for Digital Entertainment, as Centre Manager. Brent joins us from the University of Warwick where he has been working since 2005. His previous posts include managing the Integrated Magnetic Resonance Centre for Doctoral Training and the Diamond Science and Technology Centre for Doctoral Training, which like CDE are multi-institution centres that draw funding from both EPSRC and industry. We are sure you will all join us in welcoming Brent to the team.
This week our congratulations go to CDE Research Engineer Milto Miltiadou for successfully defending her thesis "Efficient Accumulation, Analysis and Visualisation of Full-Waveform LiDAR in a Volumetric Representation", with Applications to Forestry Placement details: NERC Airborne Research Facility at Plymouth Marine Laboratory (main placement) & Interpine Group Ltd, New Zealand (short placement Jan-March 2016).
Congratulations also go to Milto's Supervisory team, Dr. Neill D.F. Campbell (initially it was Dr. Matthew Brown) and Dr. Michael Grant.
Milto now has plans to work at the Remote Sensing and Geo-Environment Research Lab of Cyprus University of Technology. We wish her all the best for her future.
